U.N. sessions promote Algerian language

The first Tamazight session was taught to United Nations staff members Sept. 20 in Algiers.

The session was launched by the High Secretariat of Amazigh and the Office of the United Nations System, with the goal of making translation of the Amazigh language possible to promote its use in Algeria.

The High Governorate has stated that the training has come as a result of a meeting last May with the Resident Coordinator of the UN Systems Resident of the UN Development Program in the nation of Algeria.
