A new Young Algerian Junior Chamber of Commerce in Canada (JCCAC) has been launched by several people in their 30s.

“We have three strategic axes,” Amine Salah, president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, said. “The first is to bring together young entrepreneurs from the Algerian community in Canada. The second is to inform them of all training and other services offered to established or launching companies. And last but not least, to participate in concrete projects.”

Salah founded the JCCAC with Ikram Mecheri, a risk analyst at Bombardier, and Mehdi Houhou, a financial analyst at Caisse Desjardins.

“A chamber of commerce is a tool just like what its members will do,” said Salah, a CGI Strategy and Business Intelligence Analyst.

Connecting with Algeria will be done through INICIA Networking and the Forum of Entrepreneurs (FCE).

“We want to build bridges between business people and between Algeria and Canada. We will build the part of the bridge to Algeria. The other part of the bridge will be built by the Algerians of Algeria,” Salah said.

Nearly 150,000 Algerians live in Canada, and Algeria was Canada’s largest trade partner in Africa last year.
