Algerian Minister of Vocational Education and Training Mohamed Mébarki has reported that there is a need to review available training courses for individuals who are seeking to become more experienced and therefore more marketable, especially in terms of being employable.

Annually, 600,000 and 700,000 individuals are offered access to training in which they are able to become skilled in an area of labor. The revision eluded to by the minister is said to be completed in part with labor-intensive companies, so that HR needs can be met.

Although the education system was once focused more on academia, it seems that there has been a much-needed shift occurring now in which individuals of all skill levels are able to learn from vocational training which will guarantee them a place in the workforce.

There will be an influx of new trainers — 2,000, to be exact — to handle the needs that exist for the training of new individuals and to cover the absence created by a large group of retirees.
