Representatives from several South Korean companies are evaluating conditions to see if they can feasibly access their power stations in Libya.

Hyundai and Doosan were constructing the Khaleej Power Station in Sirte in 2007 and Daewoo was constructing one at Zueitina, while Hyundai was also expanding the Tripoli West Station. Despite the incredible economic loss of halting construction, the companies elected to do so due to security issues.

South Korean ambassador Kim Young-chae spoke with Presidency Council Head Faiez Serraj and co-deputy Ahmed Maetig to explore the option of restarting work.

After being encouraged to return by the Libyan individuals, the South Korean leader said it was unlikely a return would occur soon, as investigations are still underway to see if the conditions are safe enough for work to continue.
