Maggie Sotyu, South Africa’s deputy minister of culture and arts, was pleased to have Algerian Minister of Culture Azzedine Mihoubi as her first African guest of honor.
The meeting was meant, partly, to emphasize the good relationship that the two countries have.
Mihoubi believes the visit was a great opportunity for the two countries to solidify the conventions that they have signed, such as in the areas of cinema, restoring the heritage of the countries, their music, and retelling the historical links that the two countries have had since Algeria’s revolution.
Mihoubi is eager about being able to help boost the pan-African spirit, as he said.
