Sonatrach issued the following announcement on Jan. 20.

SONATRACH President and CEO, Mr. Kamel Eddine Chikhi, received on Tuesday January 14, 2020 at the Company’s headquarters, a delegation of representatives from the United States Department of Energy and the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) led by John P. DESROCHER, Ambassador of the United States of America in Algeria.

This meeting is part of the SONATRACH Group merger with American companies operating in the hydrocarbon sector and aims to strengthen the existing partnership.
