Somaca issued the following announcement on Dec. 5.

Since 2018, Groupe Renault has been supporting Cravate Solidaire, the association that helps job seekers to show their best during a job interview. For Operation 2019, employees participated in a large collection of clothing and sorted out their wardrobe.

While an avalanche of promotional emails for Black Friday arrived on their smartphone, they looked away and opened their closets. Marie Kondo way, they sorted out: shirts, pants, dresses, costumes too small, too big or too little worn: in bags. These bags, they deposited on our sites. We weighed them: 1,262 pounds. 1.2 tonnes of workwear donated by Renault Group employees who will go to Cravate Solidaire, the association that dresses jobseekers in France.

MAKEOVERS

The habit does not make the monk, but he contributes to it. It is from this principle that in January 2012 Yann Lotodé, Nicolas Gradziel and Jacques-Henri Strubel – three former students in business school – launched La Cravate Solidaire. The original idea: provide a suit to jobseekers – via donations from individuals and companies – to pass a job interview.

WHITE INTERVIEWS

Since then, the activity has evolved: in addition to access to a professional wardrobe, the association offers coaching sessions to beneficiaries, with a recruitment interview simulation.

The need is there since in the space of 7 years the association has welcomed more than 3000 beneficiaries, opened 9 branches in France and made call to more than 800 volunteers – image coaches and volunteer recruiters – among whom collaborators Renault.

Partners since 2018, we have chosen to support Cravate Solidaire for the strength of its action, its originality, and its coherence with the CSR Mobilize approach of the Renault Group.
