The president of the Council of the Nation, Abdelkader Bensalah, recently welcomed Mr. Khatri Abdouh, the president of the Saharawi Parliament at the council headquarters.
During the meeting, the two discussed development of the Saharawi situation and methods to increase the relationship’s strength, both in parliament and on the legislative side. The meeting also discussed the African Union, United Nations and the appointment of the New Special Envoy to Western Sahara.
Abdouh was open to the Algerian perspective on the Saharawi situation and thanked the Algerian people and leadership for their sympathy to the situation.
