National Oil Corporation issued the following announcement on Sept. 21.
In support of the Libyan authorities’ efforts throughout the country to combat Covid-19, the Sustainable Development Department of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) is utilising its clinics complex in Shura, Kufra, as a health isolation centre for the region. The Sustainable Development Department has provided the centre with two respirators, as well as equipment and supplies for protection against Coronavirus. At the inauguration of the project, Dr. Farid Hagar, director of the isolation unit, explained that the centre will serve the people of the region and provide essential support as Libya combats the effects of the pandemic. This latest initiative reflects NOC’s enduring commitment to limit the spread of Coronavirus and meet urgent medical needs across the country.
