National Oil Corporation recently issued the following announcement.
National Oil Corporation (NOC) Chairman, Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, received His Excellency Giuseppe Buccino, Italian Ambassador to Libya, and an accompanying delegation, on Wednesday 23 September 2020 at NOC’s headquarters in Tripoli. The meeting focused on the security situation in the oil fields and facilities operated by NOC’s subsidiary companies. The Ambassador was briefed on the strenuous efforts NOC itself is making to ensure gradual resumption of oil production.The COVID-19 pandemic was discussed and in particular, the precautionary measures taken by NOC to protect the health of its workers and to ensure safe and appropriate running of its operations.Joint cooperation between NOC and Italian companies in the oil and gas sector was also discussed.
