Morocco ranks 71st in global competitiveness

According to a report by the World Economic Forum, Morocco is 71st in global competitiveness on a ranking of 137 countries, down one position from 2016.

In the Arab world, the United Arab Emirates was first, with Qatar and Saudi Arabia following. Morocco came in after Iran and Jordan. 

On the total rankings, Switzerland came in first, followed by the U.S., Singapore, the Netherlands and Germany.

The report decided on the rankings based on 12 factors that included infrastructure, health and basic education, economic environment, labor market efficiency, higher education and market size.
