Algerian Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Hassan Marmouri compelled Skikda to start offering discounts and other incentives to attract tourists to the area, both from overseas and within the country.
The minister observed that a private five-star hotel in the Falafel region had tactics to bring in customers.
Additionally, the minister saw that a tourist town in Felfla was being built upon to increase the size and allow for 158 more rooms and 23 bungalows, a playground and water games area.
The minister asked that local officials lend their help to areas that are developing their tourist sectors, such as in the areas of Falafel, Balatane and Skikda.
Also, the minister inaugurated an exhibit located in the Marina Square while he was on his trip.
