Algerian Minister of Agriculture Rachid Benaissa stated that agriculture is the heart of the government’s economic strategy.
Benaissa said that the agricultural sector was privileged in its positioning as the government has recently issued an action plan which will expand the area for agriculture such as through irrigation and diversifying the products and work in agriculture.
There will be a push to upgrade the industries that help make agricultural economic success a reality.
Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources Abdellah Khenafou said the sector would not have experienced the same success had it not been for the support from the government.
