The longest tunnel in North Africa is under construction, which will connect it to another tunnel. 

The El Qantas tunnel is currently being connected to the Khemis Miliana, in order to create an even longer tunnel. Construction is being completed by Turkish and Chinese companies in line with universal standards for the sake of safety. 

Minister of Public Works and Transport Abdelghani Zaalane announced the work would be completed by the end of 2018. 

This construction project will make it possible to reduce the travel time from Algiers to Oran and will also provide a safer and more pleasant experience.
