The second edition of the International Festival of Ibn Battuta will be held in Tangier from Nov. 9-12.

The celebratory festival and event will give travelers from all over the world a chance to see Moroccan hospitality at its best, especially thanks to the theme of the event: Travelers, the Ambassadors of Peace.

The event honors the individual, Ibn Battuta, born in Tangier in 1304 and famous for his extensive travels of 73,000 miles.

The event will help to improve the tourism and cultural industries in Morocco as tourists will cross over the Western Europe border to the Arab world.

“We work to continue our unconditional commitment to promoting culture, tradition, ethics and sustainability through the spirit of the legendary character of Ibn Battuta,” Aziz Benami, the president of the Moroccan Association of Ibn Battuta, said.
