Morocco’s access to the Economic Community of West African States was the focus during a meeting of the High Commissioner for Planning, Ahmed Lahlimi Alami, and the Chairman of the Economic Community for West African States Committee, Marcel Allan de Souza.

The study was anticipated to be completed by Dec. 16 at the Session of the Member States, which will be in Lomé. A number of aspects will go into the study, including surveys on families and businesses, preparation for national actions, economic forecasts and living conditions.

Though there will be challenges with the adoption of a single currency in the Cediao Group, there are steps being taken to organize the details.
