Siddiq Omar Al-Kabeer, the governor of the Central Bank of LIbya, recently met with the U.S. deputy assistant Secretary of State. 

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the current situation in Libya and how it relates to banking and finances in the areas of creating systems to combat money laundering and terrorist financing systems.

Libya will be evaluated by the AML/CFT system to ensure it is in compliance with international requirements.
