The National Oil Corporation supports the Passports and Nationality Department in Tobruk municipalityAs part of the social responsibility programs carried out by the National Oil Corporation ( NOC ) and in coordination with Tobruk Municipal Council and the branch of the passport and nationality department of the city.On Thursday, December 24, 2020, at the headquarters of the Branch of the Passport and Nationality Department of the city, the Department of Sustainable Development of the NOC delivered the necessary equipment to launch the system for the passport and nationality department related to the national number and the automatic number as well as the process of photography for the issuance of passports, including equipment communication equipment, computers, scanners and other needs.

As part of the social responsibility and the programs sponsored by Eni.On Saturday 19-12-2020, an integrated laboratory in the municipality of Zuwara has been opened to conduct analysis and test samples for the Covid 19 virus, including PCR and all other equipment and the required tools to increase the number of tests conducted for Libyan citizens for the purpose of tracking cases and reducing the spread of this pandemic.

On Sunday, December 6, 2020, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Mustafa Sanalla, have met at the headquarters of the National Oil Corporation ( NOC ) in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, with Mr. Mohamed Ghawar, the General Manager of al-Razi Psychiatric hospital in Tripoli.During the meeting, the General Manager of the hospital presented a brief on the hospital's activity and the current situation after the recent improvements with the support of the Ministry of Health, also he presented the current challenges that the hospital is seeking to overtake and the extent to which the NOC could support in this aspect.

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) declares that it has reached an – honor agreement- under which the Petroleum Facilities Guards (PFGs) abides by ending the entire obstacles that face Al Sharara Field in a way that guarantees there will be no security breaches and in a way that enables the National Oil Corporation to lift the force majeure status and resume production in Al Sharara Oil Field.Therefore, the National Oil Corporation hereby announces lifting the Force Majeure status as of Sunday 11 October 2020 and instructions have already been given to Akakus Oil Operations (AOO), the Operator, to start production arrangements subject to the standards of general security and safety precautions and the safety of the operations.

The CEO of the national hydrocarbons company SONATRACH, Toufik Hakkar, made a working and inspection visit to the Skikda oil complex on Tuesday during which he inquired about the progress of the projects of infrastructure development and inaugurated the relaunch of LNG production, which had been shut down since last December.
