The Cameroon Football Federation (CAF) was shocked by comments that the African Football Confederation President Ahmed Ahmed made concerning its team’s organization and abilities.

Ahmed stated that Cameroon would be unable to organize the African Cup in the new camp, nor did it have the appropriate infrastructure.

The President of the African Union also commented on Cameroon’s capability of organizing Alcan, which the Cameroonian Union acknowledged, stating that Al-Kaf wishes to take away the honor of the Al-KAN organization from Cameroon, though the CU states that previous agreements will not permit such an event to unfold.

The statement from the CAF head, Malagasy Ahmed Ahmed is that Cameroon is simply not ready to handle the responsibility of the African Cup of Nations.
