Banque Populaire du Maroc issued the following announcement on Oct. 18.
To mark the start of the cultural season, the Galerie Banque Populaire in Rabat welcomes, from 18 October to 26 January 2019, “La sculpture en partage”, an unpublished exhibition that brings together the works of five Moroccan sculptors with different artistic universes, but which nourish the same passion for an art that, alongside other artistic expressions, intends to assert itself more in the Moroccan cultural landscape.
At its inauguration in January 2017, the Banque Populaire Gallery set itself the primary mission of contributing significantly to the cultural dynamics of the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region through, among other things, the promotion of all forms of art. Since then, she has hosted several exhibitions, mainly on pictorial art, photography, etc.
This time, the Banque Populaire Gallery is highlighting the art of volume and relief, sculpture in this case, in an exhibition that brings together the works of five Moroccan artists: Karim BENNANI, Mohamed ASSALMI, Azzedine BADDOU , Jamil BENNANI and Mohamed HAFIDI.
In order to allow the greatest number of people to enjoy their sculptures even more, these artists have decided to extend the exhibition at the entrance and around the gallery. This option was well received by the Banque Populaire Gallery because it fits perfectly with the spirit of the theme of the exhibition, “Sharing Sculpture”.
In this regard, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Rabat-Kenitra Popular Bank, Mr. Jalil SEBTI, explained: “By adhering to this bold initiative, we have sought on the one hand to establish an even stronger relationship between the works on display. in the street, the pedestrians and the site, and on the other hand to bring together the first act – that is the sculpture – of the general public. “
