Banque Populaire du Maroc issued the following announcement on Oct. 8.

On the occasion of the 5 th edition “Top Performers CSR 2018”, the group Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) was awarded the eponymous prize after having obtained the highest scores in the following areas: “Information to customers” , “Responsible Orientation of Contracts and Respect for Client Rights” and “Equitable Treatment of Shareholders”.

Organized on 27 September 2018 by the Vigeo Eiris agency, the European leader in extra-financial rating, and the Casablanca Stock Exchange, the “Top Performers CSR 2018” awards each year award companies – listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange and / or issuers bonds – having obtained the best ratings according to the Vigeo Eiris standard.

Following this distinction, the BCP incorporates the new reference index Environment, Social and Governance “Casablanca ESG 10” set up by the Casablanca Stock Exchange.

This recognition also reinforces the BCP Group’s historic commitment to environmental and social policy.
