Grain production is expected to improve from last year, according to the director of control and development of agricultural production at the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Marine Fisheries.

This production will add 35 million quintals of grain to the former year’s production, and despite there being a deficit in the southeast of the country, the western region’s productivity should balance out the amount of grain produced.

The reason for a deficiency in the east of the country is attributed to climate, among other challenges such as fires that have hurt dozens of hectares.

However, action has been taken to increase the production of grain in placid land, such as improving the irrigation options, improving the materials that they have access to.

The director of control and development of agricultural production stated that technical and material supervision by the state are of utmost importance when it comes to recovering from a lower-yielding portion of the country.
