Gov. Abdul Latif Al-Jawahiri recently was named as one of the top Global Finance 2017 central bankers of the world.
In addition to Al-Jawahiri’s A- mark, Salameh Riad, the governor for the Central Bank of Lebanon was recognized. Seven more governors were chosen from the 83 countries in the listing.
The classification and awarding of ranks was organized by an American magazine, which has not been named, but has set the standards for the ranking based on a criteria of inflation control, stability of currencies and management of aspects such as interest rates.
