The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge recently held an Academic Guidance & Counseling Day for Grade 12 students who have performed well in school.

The purpose of the event was to introduce the students to the concept of scholarship programs that may help them with their studies at this time and in the future.

The event was held through the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi, as well as several U.S. universities that have pledged their support of ADEK’s Guidance & Scholarship Division.

It is hoped that this program and others like it will help the qualified students to be able to pursue their educational goals that are seemingly out of reach while ensuring that Abu Dhabi continues to produce young and inspired individuals for the coming generations.

ADEK organizes more than 15 events and meetings on a yearly basis as a way to inform students and the educators who work with them. This was the first event to be held specifically for 12th-grade students.

“ADEK’s Guidance & Scholarship Division has been proactive in supporting parents and counselors through providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively support students,” Mohamed Yousif Baniyas said.
