Sonatrach issued the following announcement on Sept. 8.
SONATRACH has today signed several contracts with Algerian companies as part of its strategy to promote the national production tool.
Thus, SONATRACH has entrusted to six (06) Algerian companies namely, ENGCB, SARPI, ENGTP, ENAC, KANAGHAZ and COSIDER Pipelines, the construction of the collection networks and the shipping lines of the project of development of the gas fields of the South. West of the country and which total a length of more than 700 km.
The choice to entrust this important project to these companies is dictated by the need to respect the schedules.
Once approved, this project will ensure an estimated gas production contribution of 11 million m3 / day by 2022.
In the same context, SONATRACH signed with the SARPI / SAFIR Group the contract relating to the development of the western oil fields of TOUAT- Phase 2. The project will supply the Adrar refinery at a rate of 6,000 bbl / d of oil. gross by 2022.
Other projects that have also been signed today with:
-COSIDER Pipelines relating to the compliance of detection / extinguishing systems and anti-fire networks of RTO “Zone d'Arzew” transport facilities;
-ENAC, concerning the supply, Installation and commissioning of new cathodic protection systems for the pipeline layer (Hassi R'Mel - Arzew) of the western transport region “RTO”.
The total amount of these contracts amounts to more than 67 billion Dinars with the key to the generation of nearly 3000 jobs.
The conclusion of these contracts thus reaffirms the will of SONATRACH, which aims to promote local content in the development of its activities.
