Sirte Oil Company issued the following announcement on July 30.
Within the framework of the joint cooperation between the National Oil Corporation and the Central and Eastern Oil Services Guard, a meeting was held this morning at the headquarters of the Authority to discuss a number of pressing issues.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Jadallah Al Ookli, Chairman of the National Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Naji Ahafaf, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sirte Oil and Gas Production and Processing Company, Major General Naji Al-Maghrabi, Commander of Central and Eastern Oil Services and Brig.
The participants stressed the need to activate the role of the security services and the commitment of each side in turn to impose the prestige of law and the state.
Mr. Jadallah Al-Awakli stressed that the National Oil Corporation continues its unlimited support to the Petroleum Facilities Guard and supports it to fulfill its duty to protect oil fields and ports.
Mr. Naji Ahaf noted that Sirte will make every effort to contribute to the establishment of security in the region, pointing to direct communication with the Guard Commander in order to achieve this.
Major General Naji Al-Maghrabi expressed his happiness and pride in the role played by oil and gas sector workers in creating stability and maintaining the sole source of Libyban resources.
After the meeting, the attendees went to the first main portal of Sirte for the production and processing of oil and gas and was ordered to open and reactivate and remove all manifestations of the violation.
After that, they went to Marsa Brega Airport and were briefed on the general situation and the arrangements required to receive the Civil Aviation Authority Committee, which will be granted permission to activate the airport air traffic as soon as possible.
