The chairman of the Egyptian-Moroccan Businessmen Association, Mohamed Adel Hosny, was recently interviewed for the Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper, saying, "the private sector will open the way for broader cooperation between the two countries at the governmental and private levels.”
He added that the cooperation between Morocco and Egypt relied heavily on the importation of fish as well as the automobile industry, which he saw as showing "Morocco's superiority in renewable and new energy and [Egypt] can benefit from their expertise in it."
Previously, Hosny emphasized the importance of strengthening trade and economic relations in the Middle East. He spoke of Morocco as one of the most important countries in the region because of its capacity for joint cooperation in investment, trade and industry.
