More than 200 Algerian expats who were living in other countries and working for large technology companies globally have returned to Algiers. 

The recent return of Algerians back into their native land is closely linked to the smart city project that the city is undergoing. 

The project will continue to bring in young researchers who will be irreplaceable in helping to modernize and turn Algiers into a smart city, according to Fatiha Slimani.
