According to The Clearing House report on Fund activities in 2017, the total fund for this year has seen a significant increase. 

The rise as been 29 percent from the 2016 value. 

The report stated that the costs of subsidizing butane and sugar has increased from last year to the current year by an amount of almost 54 percent.

The report also highlighted that disbursement allocations to the clearing fund totaled 11.25 billion dirhams in the following distributions: sugar 3.55 billion dirhams and butane gas 7.7 billion dirhams.
