The drinking water supply in Algiers was suspended Oct. 17-18.
The reason for the suspension was construction work and the announcement was issued by the Algerian Water and Sanitation Society.
A main distribution pipeline needed to be connected after a malfunction at the crossroads of Val d'Hydra.
The water supply was to be back in service the night of October 18 and both the public and various hospital facilities were still able to receive water from a tanker supply during the outage.
