Geophysics Department Director Abdulhameed Shahloul, whose department is in a position of leadership over the Arabian Gulf Oil Co., stated that the department is one that would be assigned with innovating seismic programs by the General Directorate of Exploration. 

The need is great, given that drilling for oil can cause seismic activities and therefore it is necessary for companies to be aware of the seismic state of their drilling area.

The Geophysics Department will look into three areas: quality control of the geophysical processes and space, as well as monitoring of the seismic equipment that is being used, and, finally, the interpretations of seismic activity.

Thanks to the investigations of the area north of Al-Jaghboub, the company has been able to continue its activity as it is guaranteed to be safe from seismic activity.
