Three Algerians writers have been named the winners of the Arabian Book of the Year 2017 Award.
A ceremony was conducted on Oct. 12 in Katara, Doha, the Cultural District. Novelists, critics and academics of the Arab world were in attendance.
The novel, "Forty Years Waiting for Isabelle," written by writer and journalist Said Khatibi, was awarded the Arab Quetta Prize.
Abdul Wahab Issawi won an unpublished novel award for "The Book of Forgotten Business" and Bashir Daifallah wom a prize for "Studies of the Arab Novel."
The Novel and Fine Art Initiative was launched which will help artists and novelists to fully embrace certain aspects of what being an artist means.
