Publishers of the Algerian Electronic Press met for a discussion following many legal charges and pressures.
This was the first meeting and 10 of the individuals denounced their current workplace environment. They claimed that they were in opposition to what they called "uncontrolled censorship" and that they were pleading with the government to remove such limitations on their journalism immediately.
The situation prevents transparency in the Algerian news, which is important for the news industry and the individuals who call Algeria their home.
