Mytilineos Co., a Greek group, has partnered up with the General Electricity Co. of Libya for the engineering and construction of an electricity unit in Tobruk.
The deal was made after major concerns arose about the vital unit for the Libyan grid, using natural gas and over 650 megawatts of power.
The new system will be in operation nine months after the start of the project. The grid is a high priority for the firm, so the project will be fast-tracked. This is Mytilineos first project in Libya, but hope the new system will bring some much-needed help to the locals.
