The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) will hold its seventh Abu Dhabi Science Festival (ADSF) in November in two locations -- the Al Ain Zoo and Khalifa Park.
The Nov. 9-18 event features more than 70 activities promoting innovation and science geared toward children, with projects such as a water robot, the secret life of coral and a dinosaur dig. The event aims to spark curiosity among children so they retain an interest in science and potentially choose a science-based career path.
“Khalifa Park has been chosen as the primary location of this year’s festival. This new venue will provide more space for us to provide better experiences and we expect to welcome the biggest and most proactive crowds this year thanks to the new site,” Dolphin Energy CEO Adel Ahmed Albuainain, a sponsor of the event, said.
So far, ADSF events have been attended by more than 500,000 guests. It is the largest science and STEM-based celebration in the region.
