A three-story apartment building was collapsed in the district of Bourniya in the region of Fez last week.
The building failed to meet General Laboratory for Testing and Studies standards, being declared a first-class risk in severity. Following the findings of the study, families who lived in the building were helped in relocation efforts.
Families who were financially challenged by the move were given aid and were helped to find a housing program to assist them after the loss of their homes.
The Ministry of the Preparation of the National Territory, Reconstruction, Housing and City Police signed agreements in 2017 and 2010 through which it has been able to destroy dangerous buildings and also help the affected families to find assistance in housing.
