Following the online publication of a picture depicting students with "Thank you, Mustafa Batas" written on signs, there was an outbreak of frustration from individuals on social media.

Protestors of the act said that it was an exploitation of poor children. 

Based on media sources, Mustafa Batas handed out the school portfolios to poor families in Sidi Ifni as school  began and then the images were posted on social media. 

Regardless of the alleged wrongdoing of Mustafa, social media users were outraged at his act.
