Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustav recently visited the Urbru mosque, which had been damaged by fires last month.
The king voiced his sympathy at the action and stated that he would stand with the nation through this challenging time. The leaders in Orebro were grateful for the encouragement and support from Sweden.
One suspect — a 20-year old man — was arrested, though it has been discovered that he was not involved in the fires.
The mosque was located in the sixth-largest city in the country. Originally a Jewish synagogue, it was converted into an Islamic mosque in 2008 and served roughly 5,000 individuals from around 25 countries.
