The Algiers Post stated that its customers have withdrawn more than 100 billion dirhams in less than a week.

The cause of the large withdrawal is thought to be the Eid al-Adha and school fees for locals.

Withdrawals peaked Aug. 26 in more than 20 billion dinars, before falling to 11 billion dinars on Aug. 29 and then again climbing to 9 billion dinars on Sept. 4.

The high demand has been hard to manage, but the corporation is seeking to bring about the best service to its customers even in times of great pressure such as this time.
