Hurricane Irma ripped through Florida last weekend, beginning on Sunday in South Florida, where three individuals were killed.
The causes of death were car accident-related in which individuals were on the road after a safe time and were unable to handle the winds of 215 kilometers per hour. The U.S. Hurricane Center recorded the storm as moving 13 kph towards the West Coast and more than 6 million people had to evacuate their homes.
Rainfall was 25 to 60 centimeters and the low level of land posed a huge threat for individuals who chose to ride out the storm from their homes.
The Kennedy Space Center in Central Florida was closed on Monday due to the storm.
Prior to hitting Florida, the hurricane tore through islands in the Caribbean and left 25 dead.
