Two new heads have been appointed by the Presidency Council's foreign ministry in Tripoli for the Cairo and Amman embassies.
Jordan's new ambassador will be Mohamed Hassan Al-Barghathi, who served as Libyan ambassador in Amman before the revolution took place. He is rumored to be returning at the request of King Abdullah of Jordan.
The Tripoli foreign ministry is asking Saleh Al-Shmakhi to be the ambassador at the Cairo embassy. The appointment was approved by the Egyptian foreign ministry and Al-Shmakhi has been asked to focus on the well-being of the Libyan population living in Egypt.
