In the hopes of bringing enhanced communication to police officers and Algerian citizens, the General Directorate of National Security has1,300 police officers who will be learning sign language.
Police officers in a number of fields will be learning sign language, which they believe will make relations with deaf individuals possible where they before were not.
The Directorate General of National Security said this initiative is aimed at making life better in all social areas, including those who are disabled in one way or another.
