Eng. Mustafa Sanalla, National Oil Corp.'s (NOC) chairman of the Board of Directors, recently visited Al Sharara Field to look into the security there.

In addition to Sanalla, Abulgasem Shingheer, a member of the Board of Directors; Khaled Bukhatwa, general manager of Safety, Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development; Abdelmajeed Esh-sheh, chairman of the Management Committee of the Operator Akakus Oil Operations; and Mr. Luis Polo Navas director of Libya Business Unit at Repsol Company attended as well.

The dignitaries spoke with employees at the field and assured they would not allow them to be put in danger and would do their best to bring Libya to a place of increased security.

Security options were discussed as well as risk analysis studies from NOC, Repsol Co., Akakus Oil Operations and Protection Force of the Field.

Brigadier Ahmed Alal said previous criminals associated with past offenses had been arrested and that protection of employees would not be forgotten.
