The Belgian government are increasing security in the Rue Neuve in Brussels, which is a popular shopping district in the country and city.
The reason for heightened concern is due to the fact that the attack in Barcelona was in a similar area.
The changes coming to the area will be vehicle concrete blocks to prevent cars from accessing the street.
Els Ampe, a Brussels City Council member, explained the blocks may limit access to the street and they may be dangerous to pedestrians. However, it is believed they may prevent attacks like the ones in France, Germany, Britain and now Spain.
