The National Office of Railways (ONCF) completed some major work on the Casablanca railway crossroads between Casa-voyageurs, Casa-port and Ain Sebaa stations on Sunday.
The work began seven months ago and is being completed with the goal of desaturating the rail traffic at crossroads, which see 90 percent of the rail traffic.
Sunday's work included closing the station at Casa-port to prevent trains from coming through and pausing passage of trains between casa-voyageurs, Casa-port and Ain Sebaa. The ONCF is seeking decrease the number of hours needed from 364 hours to 24 hours.
Seven other projects were completed at the same time, which involved 250 collaborators and more than 400 agents from 15 national companies.
Normal traffic is to resume on Monday at 5 a.m.
