The National Oil Corp. (NOC) pipelines that bring fuel from Ez-Zawia Storage to Tripoli and crude oil from Al Sharara Field were able to continue their normal operations following a pause that lasted a few hours.
The reason for the pause in operations was a protest that was being held at pipeline No. 16, in which a group of protesters blocked access to the pipeline, breaking into the control from of the Al Sharara Field pipeline and demanded that operations stop.
NOC was about to work with the Brega Petroleum Marketing Co. to put its emergency plan into action, and they were able to pump fuel to Great Tripoli District through another delivery system.
"Injustice and personal claims cannot be solved by hurting the whole people and using the blockade tactics is a rejected negotiating technique," NOC Chairman Mustafa Sanalla said.
