Algerian Prime Minister Abdelamadjid Tebboune has requested that the Ministry of Industry freeze the assembly of new industrial assembly projects and create a new specification by the Ministry of Industry and Mines.

The prime minister feels it is necessary to create a framework for the main lines.

Mahdjoub Bedda, the minister of Industry and Mines, has agreed with the government's desire to terminate what are being called disguised imports for vehicle assembly. 

Subcontractors and equipment manufacturers will be mobilized to increase the subcontracting industry and help enact the new specifications.
