An open house is being held on the importance of responsible management when it comes to water use.
The World Health Organization's standard for water use per capita per day is 250 liters. Of that, Algerians only consume 170 liters per capita per day. Due to this disparity, the Algerian Watershed Agency Hodna-Soummam with the National Agency for Integrated Water Resources Management is hosting the event to help bring consciousness to the discussion of water usage.
The event will be especially catered to young people and children and will include animated educational offerings for the young crowd. Children will be asked to take part in a debate about water and how it should be used, respected and shared.
This event is sure to be an educational and enlightening opportunity for all who partake.
