In a recent discussion session of Morocco's Parliament, Mohamed Boussaid, minister of economy and finance, took a stand for the first president of the Supreme Audit Council, Driss Jettou, to respond to allegations about his being less than truthful.
"Even the opposition has no right to say that the president of the council is lying," Boussaid said. "It is true that there are other institutions that have problems with the income tax, but we will deal with each one separately."
Boussaid said the debt on the added tax was not made to bind the state and that the actions taken on the calculations of deficit ratio were correct.
